Spartan Athletic Club operates in full compliance with the guidelines set by the University Interscholastic League. The UIL governs what booster clubs, parents, coaches, and student-athletes may and may not do in connection with UIL-sponsored competition. Every SAC member and Centennial athletic family should be familiar with these rules.
WHY THIS MATTERS
UIL booster club guidelines exist to protect student-athletes, keep competition fair, and ensure that booster club activities support — not jeopardize — a student’s eligibility. The rules cover a wide range of activities, including:

COMMON QUESTIONS
The University Interscholastic League (UIL) is the governing body for public school extracurricular activities in Texas. Because Centennial High School is part of BISD and competes under UIL rules, all booster club activities connected to UIL-sponsored sports must comply with UIL guidelines. These rules exist to protect student eligibility and ensure fair competition.
In general, no. UIL rules place strict limits on what gifts or benefits a booster club may provide to coaches and school employees. Before purchasing any item intended for a coach or staff member, review the full UIL Booster Club Guidelines or contact UIL directly to confirm it is permissible.
No. Booster clubs cannot provide cash or gifts of value directly to student-athletes. Doing so could jeopardize the athlete’s UIL eligibility. All funds must be used for approved program purposes, not for individual players.
